Proven Study Techniques for Improving Languages Without Studying Abroad

SAYAS Japanese Lesson

Not everyone has the opportunity to live or study in Japan, and without that immersive environment, it can be hard to stay motivated, consistent, and feel real progress.

In this episode, I talked with SAYAS’ popular teacher, Shio-sensei, about her own experience learning English entirely from Japan—and the study techniques that helped her become a confident speaker.

Double subtitles are so helpful! Thank you for the putting in the effort in writing them. ^^ I´ve been studying japanese for a few years, never really disciplined and now I am on a level where I have a good understanding of dialogues but it's still hard to talk on my own. I believe that to learn a language you should really put in the effort and be in contact with it everyday. Studying abroad does speed up the process but it´s not the only way I think (I´ve never studied abroad and managed to learn english just fine)

Thank you for these educational podcasts. The natural speech patterns are great for developing my "ear" even if much of the vocab is currently beyond me.

Nice!! The beginning was pretty educational with the Q&A! 👍

英会話はネイティブを真似、思考言語で理解して、骨伝導音声をフィードバックにして修正するディープラーニングが効果的です。
真似て覚える事により、発音、表現、単語、文法、使い方、そして音を覚えるのでリスニングもできるようになります。

English is only 26 characters in its alphabet. I wish I could read Japanese dictionaries without needing to know 6 different things about 2-10 thousand kanji 🫠
That’s a wonderful thing to do as an English learner though
