I think Steve is bigger gap from 2nd best than the bad characters are from the other bad ones by quite a bit.  This made me realize i need to make my own longform tier lists eventually, been like 5 years now or something.

year of the weege in both melee and ult, what a time to be alive

i will single handily bring dr mario out of D Tier

Luigi is the funniest smash character of all time. His play style has been absolutely goofy in almost every single game if not all of them.

Lmaoo luigi really has come this far, im happy for him

What's funny is a lot of us already knew Luigi was a top character for years, but for some reason so many people were in denial. Glad you all finally came to your senses.

Not gonna lie, I'm really disapointed with how low Mewtwo is. He hardly has any representation and it's like the devs had no idea with what to do with him so he's this awkward combo of having an incredible moveset with janky hitboxes and a terrible weightclass with the height and tail hurtboxes. Really sad, because I feel as if he could be better.

My goat Luigi finally in S tier, been maining him since 2019 🥹🥹

Let’s gooooo! Luigi main here since Melee and I’m so glad to finally see my boy in S-tier!!!

Regular Link ain't even the hero of time, Young Link is

Once the fighters pass 2 characters got optimized Pac-man just fell off a cliff, he loses all of those matchups. Doesn't help that Tea has essentially relegated Pac-man to his secondary

The year is 20LL

Luigi glazers are eating good TONIGHT TOP 10 BABY

I never understood how Luigi was never seen as a top tier before

oh how I miss the days of pichu + joker being top 2 characters in the game. what a time that was

No matter the tier list, Yoshi will always be S Tier in our hearts 😂

“Hero of time” 💔 4:03

[This is like the 3rd time I got this comment on standby lol]

- There is a lot more characters this time around retain their tier positions from the previous list, which does indicate some real meta stabilization for the first time after 7 years of the game existing.
- The top 10 is almost exactly the same as the previous list. The only things that changed is that Aegis and Min Min swapped spots and Luigi replaced Fox as part of top 10.
- Hilariously, in the past 3 tier lists, Samus and Palutena have been ranked right next to eachother every single time. They were 15th/16th in the 2nd list, 20th/21st in the 3rd list, and now back to 15th/16th in the current 4th list. They are soul bound together.
- Important thing to note is that the cutoff of A-to-B tier is different between the third and fourth tier lists. In the 3rd list, the cutoff is 38th. In the 4th (current) list, the cutoff is 34th, so despite PkMn Trainer staying the same spot from the previous list, he dropped from A- to B+.

Now to show tier shifts from the previous list.
Note #1: S tier from previous list is merged with the S+ tier in new list.

S- ---> S+ Min Min
A+ --> S Luigi
A ---> A+ Wario
A- ---> A Mii Brawler, Ryu
B- ---> A Mega Man
B+ ---> A - C. Falcon
B- ---> B+ Ice Climbers, Donkey Kong
C- --> B Duck Hunt
C- ---> C+ Isabelle, Robin, Ridley
D+ --> C Piranha Plant
Drops
S --> S Aegis
S- ---> A+ Pikachu
A+ ---> A Roy, Bayonetta, Mario, Cloud
A --> A Corrin, Falco
A- ---> B+ Terry, PkMn Trainer, Lucina, ZSS, Pac-Man, Toon Link
C+ --> C Banjo, Lucario, Chrom, Incineroar
D ---> E Belmonts
Note #2: not counting D tiers, as D tier was split into D+ and D- in the new list, so technically a similar weight as previous list.

Hero has had a crazy rise. From being considered an underwhelming mid tier alongside Banjo to being considered the second best FP1 character, usurping Terry's spot

Luigi mains winning
