Nice books! I’ve also had some cover buys with bad stories inside. I like the golden age reprints.

Enjoyable as usual Joe👍! Yeah , sometimes expectations are let downs , the Joe Kubert Cover Gallery and the Creep Show content. I'm also a fan of Linda Turner Black Cat ; having the reprints in B/W allows appreciation of Lee Elias's Caniff School of Art style IMO. Audrey Hepburn fan here ; I have a reproduction of the Breakfast At Tiffany's poster ; Even though I favor Cat Woman over Marvels Black Cat I give Black Cat the better "BAT" homage vote. I heard about the EC revival group but have yet to come across one; I do however have a reprint of that Pre Code EC issue where the story "Yellow" appears. It was one of a handful of EC reprint books that a Retro 50s diner sold off a spinner rack. The horror books were not on the spinner rack , the diner only had the crime, combat and sci-fi ones ; hey it's EC was my reaction so I picked up 2 crime-suspense , 2 combats, and a sci-fi , read the sci-fi while enjoying a retro burger and large root beer; saving the other 3 books for night time relaxation. Don Winslow was actually created as a Navy recruitment comic strip that was marketed in rural newspapers but the popularity of the character increased and Don found himself going into more markets like comic books and a matinee serial and I believe there was a radio series as well. Enjoyable as usual Joe!
