Live. Love. Clang.

I don't need another pedal, I don't need another pedal, I do not NEED another pedal.....
Spongebob:

The Clang Is Strong with this one. The number of comments I get on my harmonic percolator videos about "wow this recording quality is bad" always makes me remember, the clang is strong.

It would be awesome as a pedal buyer to go to a builder’s shop and do this sort of part swapping to personally dial in a pedal through my own rig. I’d definitely pay extra for that sort of service.

The 2N5089 section around 9 minutes sounds so good.

That 109 sounds disgusting and i love it!

I love your playing at the end.

It's such a beast. I would love one of these, in that enclosure. Maybe with some tweaks for bass.

wow this is the best build ives seen

You probably know, but have to mention that yes the Perculator get called the aluminium distortion, but the clean isn't so clean and is Intersound IVP preamp. (You can get away with just the Tube emulator section to get the sound)

The ultimate Aluminum guitar is  a Veleno.   If you can find one and afford it , you have reached the pinnacle!

That’s rad.

I can’t wait to get a Klang next year myself.

The circuit is way less "fuzz" than i expected (haven't played one). Sounds great, think i'm gonna build one!

These "high-gain" circuits (typical "bootstrap" , like this, or Darlington configurations) work best with older transistors, IMO,  which don't have very high hFE and have relatively high parasitic (losses) capacitances. We must keep in mind that the goal here was to get the most gain from a "basic" transistor. Of course we can use transistors with less losses and more gain, but then we would have to tweak bias voltages, resistors, and it wouldn't be the same
Nice job on the assembly and the labeling !!

🔥🔥🔥

How would this perform on bass guitar? ... Thinking of a xmas gift for my band's bassist 😉

Want.

Thats awesome! really want to get into pedal building, haven't had much success yet with breadbording yet, but i'm excited for when iv built up the courage to try again!😂

I need to make this, need an excuse to use my DCA75 lol
