When a brutal snowstorm traps Burlington, Vermont under ice and snow, Abby Carson keeps her small diner open in case someone needs shelter. Then an elderly woman named Clara stumbles through the door, freezing, lost, and desperate to find her grandson.

Abby gives her warmth, food, and a safe place to rest, never realizing who she has just helped.

Hours later, a black SUV pulls up outside the diner.

Dante Rosetta walks through the door.

Powerful, intimidating, and surrounded by secrets, Dante is no ordinary grandson. His arrival connects Abby to a dangerous world she thought she had escaped years ago, and Clara may know far more about Abby's past than she first admits.

As old enemies close in and hidden evidence threatens to expose corruption reaching far beyond one crime family, Abby must decide whether to keep running or finally stand her ground. And the Mafia Boss who came only to retrieve his grandmother may become the one person willing to stand beside her.

A snowstorm brought them together. What happens next changes all of their lives.
