Reviving Mark McCann’s ultra high-mileage VW Caddy and pushing it towards 1 MILLION miles! 🚐

This 1.6 TDI Caddy was bought salvaged from Copart with major front-end damage. In this episode we drop the engine, tackle rusty fuel/water lines, timing belt + water pump, wheel bearings, a dodgy aftermarket remap (fixed with help from Ruby Tune), and much more.

Had my 13 plate caddy 75 from 20,000 to 137,000 miles, with nothing but maintenance repairs. So traded it in for 64 plate (102) with 60k. Within 4 months the first injector went, then the other 3 over the next 8 months, At £600 a pop. Then the clutch master cylinder went. I sold it two years ago and bought a 10 plate pug partner with 197,000 on her. She’s now sat 209,000. I paid £500 for it and absolutely love it. Gearbox is like stirring a pot of wallpaper paste but for the price pf one replacement injector, it was the best financial decision I’ve ever made.
