High blood pressure often develops alongside everyday habits such as excess sodium, inactivity, chronic stress, poor sleep and an unbalanced diet. Rather than focusing only on the number on your blood pressure monitor, this 21-day protocol helps you build healthier habits that can support your heart, blood vessels and overall wellbeing.

In this video, Hansaji takes you through a simple three-week plan:

Week One – Reduce the Pressure

1. Reduce excess salt and hidden sodium from processed foods, pickles, papad, chips, namkeen and restaurant food.
2. Add more fresh, home-cooked foods and potassium-rich foods according to your dietary needs.
3. Start moving every day and reduce prolonged sitting.
4. Practise gentle yoga, including Parvatasana, Matsyasana and Shavasana.
5. Use Yogendra Pranayama IV for slow, diaphragmatic breathing.

Week Two – Nourish Your Heart

1. Continue the habits from Week One.
2. Include heart-friendly foods such as beetroot, beans, oats, nuts and flaxseeds.
3. Try a simple Vegetable Moong Dal Soup for protein, fibre and micronutrients.
4. Gradually increase your physical activity according to your fitness level.

Week Three – Restore and Protect

1. Continue your healthy diet, movement and relaxation practices.
2. Learn simple ways to manage stress, including Pratipaksha Bhavana and affirmations.
3. Establish regular sleep and wake times and aim for 7–8 hours of sleep.
4. Give your nervous system enough time to relax and recover.

This 21-day plan is intended to support healthy lifestyle habits; it does not replace prescribed blood-pressure medication or medical care. If you have hypertension, monitor your blood pressure regularly and consult your healthcare professional before making major changes to your treatment.
