I have a natural color changing sapphire from Montana! It goes from dark blue in daylight, to very teal green in natural shade, ashy grey blue and cornflower lavender in indoor artificial light. ♥️

As a March kid myself, I'd love to see a video on Aquamarine in the future, perhaps even a video talking/showing off mossanite (maybe in contrast to other gemstones).

The grey spinel on my engagement ring have a blue hue in sunlight and a purple hie in florescent. There is very little information on this topic and I love being vindicated! Thank you for the visuals :)

Hi Todd, thank you for your video on colour change gemstones, interesting…..never thought of using fire, which is candlelight back in the old days. I have a lavender blue oval spinel, sunny day it is lavender blue, cloudy day it is a grey titanium colour, incandescent light resembles an amethyst, under Fluorescent light it is blue. Love spinels, they are quite under rated. Also have an heirloom amethyst that depending on the light, can be a totally saturated deep purple, or a cab sav wine colour, it can even look a deep inky blue, has lots of magenta flashes within, truly one of a kind.
