All these extra rooms just for the same 7 sims to show up.

I am more than happy with lilsimsie's version on High School build. Works perfectly. You really feel the difference when the builds are made by someone who actually plays the game and knows its quirks

Console players can't even download the school 😭 It crashes literally every time we try to place it. Also Rockridge Heights is the name of the neighborhood that the high school and the auditorium are at

I saw this build in the gallery and was interested. UNTIL I saw it involved the Clueless and Mean Girls kits and read the comments that were ripping it to shreds and how it was unplayable.

That school is crazy. I use one of JameTurnerYT's highschool. Everything is on the one floor. I don't have these new packs to and am not purchasing any new packs.

My game (no mods) took around 15 minutes to PLACE THE LOT. I’m a laptop player, yes, but that’s a long time. Deleted a lot of decor, especially the posters, paintings and so on. Played there maybe for 3-5 sims days - everyone stands in front of the building for A WHILE, I have to teleport my sims to do any tasks in time and - last but not least - everyone sits in the classroom for HALF AN HOUR, frozen, after the end of classes, and only then I get the notification about the end of school day…

The funny part is, they wrote this whole article a while ago about how for example using many different wallpapers also makes the builds “heavier” - they could’ve at least used the same wallpapers and floors instead of ALL THE COLOUR VERSIONS.

Needless to say, I’m replacing the build with something playable (although that’s a big stretch to call this pack playable anyway)

I think it's the floor pattern that makes the high school look so busy, since it clashes with the plethora of decor, clutter, and other objects. I'd use a solid color instead. Otherwise, definitely better than the original.

Pretty sure "work out on an exercise machine" doesn't get completed on a treadmill (if I'm remembering that correctly)

My absolutely favourite high school is by Schnuck. It's beautiful, modern, and optimized for functionality, but also offers a plethora of additional activities to play however you want! She also designed and uploaded a fitting auditorium in all versions. In general, I can only recommend Schnuck's builds - she also has a huge number of very well-designed Base Game only builds! If you're curious, she has a YT channel, too.

That school is wild! It's an interesting build though, I may place unfurnished and simplify the interior. When I eventually update my game 😁

Its a shame about being forced to update your game to pull new stuff of the of the gallery. I have to look for stuff that hasnt been uploaded since sept/oct of 2025. I havent updated since shortly before Anadius decided to retire. While I can update my game, EA have only done stuff to ensure I nevr update again. I have to live vicariously through these vids to see new stuff. I have to admit I do like the architecture more. It reminds me of a STEM school here in Minneapolis.

Personally, my favorite build is Simcubeez 90s High School. It only has one classroom, but tbh having both teachers and groups of students in the same room makes the school day feel less empty. Especially if you'd rather to not use mods to add more than the default number of students due to simulation lag. All the necessary rooms are on the bottom floor (cafeteria, gym, showers, library), with some extracurriculars upstairs (music, science, an additional larger library for chess and debate).

The only thing I'd change is probably adding a few extra lights in the classroom (especially if you care about screenshots, though mods modifying in-game lighting would help too), and swapping out the red "tile" (it's the foam tiles used in gyms) with actual tile. Otherwise, it's decorated without being too cluttered, the color choices are good, and it's not too dark throughout. I've been going through a bunch of other high school builds and while there are some I like, other than playability, the vibes feel off in some of them and I'd rather not visit with my teens everyday (like too grey, not enough light, etc).

Some other high schools I like (and work well enough on my laptop, but have to make some modifications) are by: MWEggSims (there are like 5 whiteboards so you have to remove the extra whiteboards, or reassign the boards, otherwise the teachers won't be in the actual classrooms downstairs), Diego2memphis, Marmaladart (has a boba vendor, which may prioritize over the actual cafeteria person)

just a shame the original school shipped out like that, cause wasn't this one of the first packs to have content creators build for the official game?

i am with you , al tho i have taken free stuff they get no money from me

I don’t have High School Years, but I’ll try to make a “High School” because I have the getaway system from Adventure Awaits and I can build it as a School Camp venue. Those kits do make sense though, the first two ones sound like high school drama movies, and that music den kit adds music related items to a music room.

Im on Xbox series X and the high-school worked fine for me.

Unpopular opinion I avoid multi story community lots- its usually unnecessary and takes too long to get around

I now understand why so many players hate this pack, i could not believe it when the Game got stuck. My computer is thankfully able to run fully furnitured schools and also run a mod that lets You bring up to 40 students to class. I honestly have so much fun, and it's one of my favourite packs ever. It's so sad that people cannot experience the full gameplay opportunities because when the schools is full of things to do, as a player You never want to leave. I even have my own after class activities with the get together club system and it's just so much better than the rabbitholes that come with the pack tho.

This school looks huge. So much stuff and rooms so far apart, it looks unplayable. I have taken a look in my own game and then returned to James Turners version: only ground floor and very practical.

Also there is a special door to limit access to the teachers room.

These are so much better than what came with the pack.  I made my own so I'm not using it though. lol
