The NEW Sanyao SY-1204 Pro Brushless Rally Car is officially here, and it is a massive upgrade over the original brushed version! In this video, we are unboxing, reviewing, and stress-testing the highly anticipated SY-1204 Pro to see if this budget-friendly 1/12 scale platform can handle serious brushless power.
Sanyao listened to the community. They replaced the old 390 brushed motor and restrictive 2-in-1 ESC combo with a high-performance SY2847 brushless motor and a dedicated 30A standalone ESC.
To cope with the massive jump in speed, they also completely overhauled the drivetrain, moving away from vulnerable plastic parts to a ruggedized full-metal gear setup.
Whether you are looking to throw massive dirt roosts or pull off high-speed tarmac drifts, this video covers everything you need to know before buying!

💩 on 2s! 3s or bust! I really thought that thing was going to be horrible, but I am very surprised myself. I got sweaty just watching, so don't feel bad.

Looks can be deceiving, it’s a ripper! Definitely GR Yaris-ish inspired. 😄

ESP stands for Electronically Steerably Prettystraightability.

Goes quick for only 30A ESC

I really like there's an adjustment dial for the telepathy. That's nice attention to detail.

This has to be the upgraded 1/12 rally car that came out about a year, 'year and a half, ago that didn't quite make it because of lack of gyro. Evan reviewed it, and modded one.

It's about a year too late, but that's just my opinion.

Great video Stephen! Got me curious about this one.. I wanted to put a brushless in the brushed version but they have already done so!

Nice car clearns near diff side support for body ... top brands some off them never include those

I paid around $40USD for the brushed version of this and it surprised me how well it performed. This is better with the brushless motor and few better metal parts that the brushed does not have though!

I never noticed your DBXLE hiding behind you... love mine! I guess its not really hiding lol, that thing is yuge!

The gyroscope effect is a auxiliary gyroscope.The effect may not be as pronounced as with active gyroscopes.The rear bracket may have been crushed in transit. If you need parts, we'll arrange it.

Looks pretty big for a 1/12 scale... compared to the dikavey/rlaarlo/ zd racing rally car

@DavidFelter-f3h 3 months ago

Seems like a good rally car but are spare parts available? I just watched a rlaarlo video and I swear I've heard that spokespersons voice. 🤔😂😂❤❤
