Fantastic video mate. Very informative. Look forward to the next installment. Phil

Brilliant Alex. Thanks for the epic adventure.

Great video, i thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend buying yourself a co2/oxygen/carbon monoxide portable monitor if the curiosity gets the better of you and you go deeper into these mines.  Can't wait to see more videos.

Ironstone Mines are classed same as coal mines as producers of noxious gasses under Mines and Quarries Act, if memory serves without looking it up. There was a lot of aggro with Drayton Estate around 2010 due to overexposure on the web. Fortunately, I had photographed Willow Close just before it was sealed up. A lot of artefacts in there, picks, det tins and other stuff. I turned my whole photo collection over to buddlepit and they may be on there now. It ran to 30gigs and they slowly being uploaded. Buddlepit is run by Mining History Trust of which I am a trustee.
