I went to 4 thrift stores in a single day and came home with 86 items after spending just over $700 on inventory.
Throughout this thrift trip, I keep a running total of exactly how many items I'm buying and how much I've spent, show every item I pick up, and break up the sourcing with 5 of my best recent eBay sales.
But there's a bigger conversation at the end of this video.
Reselling has created an entire industry around teaching other people how to resell — paid communities, memberships, wholesale pallets, courses and more. I think resellers need to step back and critically evaluate where they're putting their money and effort.
If someone makes money selling you inventory, access or information, understand the incentives involved.
That doesn't automatically make every pallet, community or paid resource bad. But before spending money looking for a shortcut, ask yourself whether that money would be better spent buying inventory, learning new categories, studying sold listings and actually gaining experience.
There is an incredible amount of FREE reselling information available on YouTube and elsewhere.
My goal with Stoic Reseller is to show you what I actually do: what I buy, what I spend, what sells and the mistakes and lessons that come with building a real reselling business.
