thought it was moss from the it crowd

Quite a nice pickup, Andrew.  You probably won't use it for shortwave, much, but, it's impressive that it is featured in a receiver of that vintage.

thank you Andrew. :)

I would definitely replace with light blue green bulbs ...memories of Al Green thru that thing..🎵👍

Gracias por el vídeo!

I have the STR-4800 in brown teak which I got for £2 from a car boot last year. I have cleaned it up and cleaned the board and the variable resistors as they needed it, Use Isopropyl alcohol spray. It is a monster of an amp and can drive two pairs 100 watt speakers without breaking sweat.

the turntable was PS-11. i have both. the receiver busted since.

Здравствуйте!
Вы пробовали подключать виниловый проигрыватель, как Вам  фонокорректор?

Have one myself, its says only 25 watt inn 8 ohm but feels like trippel of that,i try it on a Technics sl 1200 turntable and its sounds realy   great 👍🔥

Hi Andrew, I'd replace the indicator bulbs with LED's - not out of place in 1970's kit. (expect death threats from the purists lol)

0:58 "as it's a receiver"
Do you mean "receiver" means it's amplified?
Any thing with "receiver" means you just can plug in the speakers?
thanks
