I've been an atheist my whole life. "Strength" isn't a consideration, it's just what I am.

I once had a preacher that said (in a sermon) that Paul McCartney was wrong with his song "All you need is Love", and I got in trouble by pointing out that christianity claims that God is Love therefore from a christian point of view that would equate to "All you need is god" and McCartney would be right on the money.  My walk away from christianity began shortly after that.
