Thank you for all of the birthday wishes ❤

Note: European football/socker fans don't need any cheerleaders. They ARE the cheerleaders. ;)

It's not for nothing that fans are known as "the twelfth man." Teams take to the field motivated by the loud cheers of their fans.

We German fans, and indeed all European fans, have a relationship with our club. It's like between a couple in love: you don't only love your girlfriend when she's dressed up. You love her especially attentively when she's not feeling so well.

Also have a look at the 2017-18 champions league tie between Dortmund and AS Monaco. On route to the stadium before the match, the players bus from Dortmund was attacked by a terrorist bomber. No one died and the worst injuries were a broken arm if I recall correctly. Due to the size of the stadium, quite a lot of Monaco fans were also in Dortmund to watch and support their team.
After the incident, the match was obviously postponed, but this left a lot of fans stranded in Germany for a day. Loads of Dortmund fans and locals opened their homes to the Monaco fans, giving them a place to rest and eat. That was a moment where the fans rose above and beyond the sport in the most amazing way.

On April 14th 2016, the evening before the 27th anniversary of the Hillsborough stadium disaster, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool hat a match in Liverpool. Before the match the fans of both teams joined together for a tribute to the 97 Liverpool fans that died in the Hillsborough disaster. They jointly sang You‘ll never walk alone, the song both teams have as their official anthem.

This is a feel good channel for germans. While a lot of things are getting worse, this channel with the american perspective shows that it could all be worse. Prost! 😂

Happy Birthday Joel and greetings from Germany. Love your channel! 🎂

This is the difference between european clubs and american franchises: The clubs have 2nd, 3rd, 4th teams playing in lower leagues, they have youth teams training young players, they often have many departments of other sports (Bayern München has a Basketball 1st league team, Bayer Leverkusen even has an eSports team) and often soccer fans were actually members of those other departments. This is a cvompletly different structure to american professionel sport franchises. Fans here in Europe have the feeling to be "family".
The video clip from the VfB Stuttgart fans shows their so-called "Ultras", which are kind of extremists in the fan scene. Always with lots of flags, flares and songs which might be borderline inappropriate. ;)

Just look at what former Bayern Munich player Thomas Müller is doing with Vancouver. Since he's been playing there, more people are coming to the stadium and really partying!

German supporters are also quite passionate in other team sports like hockey, American Football (GFL = German Football League), Basketball, etc. In 2022 Munich hosted an NFL game and the whole crowd of about 75k people was singing "Country Roads".

Background info on the BVB  dark moment: they would have won the German Championship that year if they scored the 3 championship points for a win against Mainz that day.
For Mainz it was just the only last game of the season with nothing to gain or lose!

You should take a look at a gymnastics or athletics championships held in Germany. The crowds there have a tendency to cheer on every athlete regardless of where she or he is from. They just acknowledge the achievements — the way it always should be. The atmosphere in the stadium is accordingly fascinating and nice to experience.

10:01 4th League btw

4:08 please notice, like this text ,is mostly sang by Ultra Fans. A little different to maine fans ❤

Perhaps the difference between German (and European) football fans and American football fans is that German/European teams aren’t simply sold and forced to play in a new city every few years (see the LA Raiders – now the LV Raiders). Fan loyalty in Germany is deeply rooted in the club itself — in some cases for more than 100 years. And the same is true for almost all other European clubs!
By the way: did I mention that this is why I like the Green Bay Packers so much? Go! Pack! Go!
(Put together, or better translated with the help of AI to better express myself in English.)

The match BVB against Mainz was not only about losing against an underdog. It was the last day of the season and they lost the Championship with one goal…. And Bayer grabbed it the 10th or 11th time in a row. The whole city was absolutely sure about become champion this day. It was a deep shock for everybody. But after some minutes of taking deep breaths everybody knew what to do. The team was shocked the most and they needed love.

First time seeing my club in these kinds of videos YOOO

Amerikaner haben Cheerleader.
Deutsche haben FANS! ❤
