I forgot how good the animation was in this movie. Tim Curry absolutely KILLED it as Hexus! And Robin Williams was also amazing as Batty.

Fun fact the Disney company begged and tried to convince Robin to quit this film because they thought families would go because of his Genie role. But he called Disney out and said he supported its environmental message. Totally remarkable person and this movie was great. 🥰 I thank my stars everyday I got to see Robin williams do stand up Oct 30 2009.

RIP Tim Curry! I always loved his voice acting.

14:41 hexus literally comes in and sings a song about how toxic he is and sunny is like ‘my man.’ 😂 girllllll the red flaggggsssssss

17:11 i think the thing they were going for, is not that Zac was falling in love with Crysta, he was falling in love with what she is, and what she represents, and with nature. Which is why Crysta never returns the kiss and they laugh it off. 😊😊😊

Rip Tim curry he will forever be remembered as an iconic va

So Batty's rap song is actually SUPER dark especially the full version batty first says "i just flew in from a biology lab, im back and im flapping free"

He has a radio antenna by his ear/on his head and in the song he says "all of our cosmetics are non-carcinogenic" and "It seems to have no effect, Doctor
Get me another one, get me another animal!
They used and abused me
Battered and bruised me
Red wires, green wires, stuck 'em right through me
So hear my Batty word, and exercise a little prudence
When dealing with humans"

From that and the longer version of the song he was in a biology lab for cosmetics that does animal testing even though it advertises as not doing so 😅

Also the second movie is not AS good as this one but it does expand the world and theres 2 songs in it I think you would LOVE

the song Toxic Love soundtrack version is way more seductive

Tim Curry NAILED his performance as Hexus. They had no right making the embodiment of smug and pollution so SENSUAL.

20:43 so what i got from this after many rewatches is that Crysta and Magi are the only ones who can really do magic their lights are blue whereas everyone else is green but by the end of the movie Magi releases her power and gives it to the rest of them making them able to use the power too, Crysta becomes the next Matriach as she has the most power

Actually, the term fairy is meant to act as an umbrella for a variety of types of nature based beings of European folklore.  However, the type of fairy that Crysta and her people would fall into would generally be called a sprite or pixie.  However, if we go by the elementals from Aristotle's writings, they'd be sylphs.  Sylphs are tied to the element of air and weather.  Gnomes are elementals of earth, so they'd be more focused on plant life.

I'm a nerd for anything mythology, folklore, or esoteric.

I had to come back to say Rest in Peace Tim Curry!! He voiced Hexus in this movie! He was so cool! (A quick rest in peace to Robin Williams as Batty, I'm still not over his passing 😔😔) TIM CURRY MY GOAT 😭😭😭

I can’t believe I had a crush on literally cloud of smoke

I always had an attachment to Crysta when I was little, because she looks a lot like my mom in the 90s.

Your reaction to Batty's rap was the best! RIP Robin Williams!

RIP Tim Curry😢

R.I.P Robin Williams his cartoon voice overs are so iconic!

So so happy you reacted to this!!! Love the reaction as always!! Batty was and is always going to be my favorite. Robin Williams is amazing! ❤

Never had luck finding the original, but apparently 'toxic love' actually had to be toned down and this is what we got. I'd love to see what the original was if THIS is considered toned down 😆

Girl having a crisis as to which of the two only characters that had a song number she likes most. XP Robin Williams vs. Tim Curry is honestly an impossible choice, TBF.
