But how much difference can you really feel over the standard bike once you're out on British roads? Yup, I'm trading in my MT 10 SP for the 09 SP. Yes I am crazy.... It's lighter and more nimble on back roads. I rarely go above 100mph so I don't really care about the top end power.

I rode one of these last year and was definitely impressed. I was confident it would be my next bike but just rode the Trident 800 and really liked that as well. Still undecided but great bikes, don't think I would go wrong with either one

I’m an old fart, so I do like my creature comforts. I bought the Tracer 9 GT+ to get the engine, put the shortest windscreen on it I could find, hung the panniers on the garage wall, and now my Suzuki Katana spends a lot of time on the charger instead of on the road because I don’t live where I can use 150 hp without ending up dead ☠️ or in jail 😆.

Loved that Tim - I'm thrilled you came to pretty much the same conclusions as I did (especially given you're a better rider and ifinitely better informed generally than I am)....I loved it so much I called it my "Bike of the Year" - I've never had one of those before! Given the crinkly seat I reckon this was the same bike as I rode too....

When you talk quietly like between 12mins and 13mins, your voice is so soothing. You must be great at reading to your kids at night. Mighty fine video, I've been looking at changing my Street Triple and you've done a good job of extolling the attributes of the MT09. Hmmm

The keyless ignition is worth the SP upgrade on its own. I absolutely hate dealing with motorcycle keys in my pocket.

Well, I bought an MT-10! My previous bike was an S1000R, and I'm over the moon with the Yamaha. I never imagined how well it handles in curves and how it delivers power!

Fantastic review Tim! I agree with what you said about the indicators. I never find myself half-pressing to indicate a turn. That said, pressing it again in the same direction to cancel after a turn I find is counterintuitive. I prefer the indicator module on the 2023 MT09.
