Final Fantasy XV is my comfy game. I just love it's perfect imperfectness it has. It's just magic, man.

FFXV has so much SOUL, people dont get it

"I Can't Stop Thinking About Final Fantasy 15"

Oh he just like me fr

"THATS IT!"
"Thats what?"
"I've come up withanew RECIPEH"

The ending of FFXV hurt so badly because I had come to love this group of friends so much. These characters were so well written. I love this game.

I keep thinking what a tragic character noctis is. Man went outside the town for a couple of days. Lost his dad, his fiancee, went to sleep for 10 years, then died. Wish the second batch of dlcs came out...

My mother bought me the one and only Final Fantasy in 2016 as a birthday and Christmas present. Ironically, she died a year later in the same month it came out. So, hearing "Walk talk my, son" when I do play it makes me cry every time.  So this game hits.  Even Comrades and playing it I made a lot of online friends playing with them.

I played FFXV on release, before the chapter 13 patch. I loved every single minute of it. At the end of the game, when I was told to choose only ONE picture, I broke down. My partner heard me sobbing from the hallway after getting home from work, and ran in. He thought the cat died or something.

No, I was just standing there, staring at the TV, openly weeping, going through the photo album.

Such a weird, beautiful game.

This was a wonderfully written homage to the game. That ‘Walk tall… my friends’ line makes me tear up every single time.

A lot of us can't stop thinking about it, many of us don't want to. When that game came out I had spent literally half my life waiting for it. I put almost 200 hours into my first playthrough alone.
This game took up a massive portion of my life and has significantly informed my own creative works. I intend to always reserve some space in my mind for it.

What can I say? You guys...are the best.

Oh FFXV, they will never make me hate you

Always refreshing to get the perspective of someone who "gets it" when it comes to FF XV. It's one of my favorites for a reason and you hit all the nails on the head. Thank you

I love Ardyn as a villain. Zombie Jesus out to get revenge against Judas’s descendants, who are now the British royal family. Oh, and he resurrected Satan to act as his zombie thrall. Conceptually, metal af.

But then it gets even better, because he wanted so badly to be the “mysterious helpful stranger that shocks the main characters when he reveals that he is actually the bad guy”. But all the characters see right through his act from the very beginning. Nobody buys it. As soon as they see him they’re like “oh he’s DEFINITELY evil”

ffxv is an underrated masterclass in story built into every part of the world. there's shortcomings, sure, but i think that all ff games' biggest strength is story and here too we're treated to something special. no other game i know of has this kind of brotherhood which hits you over and over again with each facet of it; and the weight of everything that it carries our heroes to. thanks for this lovely walk through a game which too many people wrote off.

the audio mixing during the crystal scene has always bugged me how loud nocts groaning is compared to ardyns speech lmao

Yoko Shimomura's music hits so hard and makes the FFXV journey truly become nostalgic/immersive

Hands down best video I've seen on FFXV. I already kinda knew why, but you truly helped me to understand the reasons I love the game and its characters so deeply. Thankyou!

FFXV is a gem that I could never bring myself to hate on: it’s riddled w flaws but the amount of potential it has trumps them all

I guess I missed out on all the negativity and backlash over this game. 15 wasn't the first FF I played, but it was the first one I beat (and I'm 37 y/o). I loved it. Looked past the car being a linear hall walking/driving simulator for one area to the next and just embraced it for what it was. Happy that the latter 2/3rd's of the game weren't bound by that and you could just go off and do mostly whatever, or were so engaged and engrossed in what was going on that you didn't even really notice. The character development and their interactions is what sold me. Never have I felt characters were more grounded and real, even surrounded by monsters, and magic, and teleportation, and giant honkin summoned Gods... the stakes felt... tangible. It really got to me on an emotional level. I didn't have to wait for Ignis... I wasn't leaving him behind, no matter what. It was never a question. I would walk beside him no matter how long it took. And its rare that I really care about characters in that way in any story. I can count tales like that on one hand. And the music.... Legend of Mana is my favourite JRPG of all time, and Yoko Shimomura... delivered something that made the moments, even the calm ones just driving around, moving and visceral. Going into those dark, deep, labyrinthine dungeons... fighting spooky as heck abominations... I wasn't alone, it was me and my brothers, my found family, there for each other, getting through it together. I wish I could forget this game, so I could experience it again for the first time. And I really wish they'd finished it. Episode Ardyn was something pretty special in and of itself. I'll defend 15 until the day I die. It may not have been what it was intended to be, but what came out of it was something worthy of my thoughts, feelings, and most importantly - the thing we all have the least of - my time. As I mentioned, I'd devote it all over again.
