Ah, cut short, a proud TMNT tradition

Edit: That end sounds like that of 90s Animated Spiderman

Erik Burnham had a good Ghostbusters comic series once. IDW cancelled it.

This is the version of the ninja turtles that got me into the franchise as well. I’m with you man! We need more of the classic ninja turtles in comics! I hope they will bring them back again someday soon! I had an Ace Duck figure as a kid! Nice to hear him get some recognition again! Here’s hoping for new adventures with these characters in the future! Cowbunga! Thanks for the review!

i think this ending is somewhat a small glimmer of hope that it would return for maybe a second volume.

It was great living with the 80s Turtles again for a time. Great nostalgia trip, lots of great callbacks, and new takes, great faithful art. Sad to see it go, but Turtles never die. Still so much potential if they want to return again!

6:26 the oldman mikey reveal is call back to nexus where we see him withthr idw turtles teasing last ronin but i was suprised now to learn its 87 mikey. Quoting jack kirby from King and I issues some stories are bitter sweet.

We got a similar situation with D&D Saturday morning. We get a crossover with drizzt and boo. But the ultimate end is granger is defeated and dm tells they can go but gang choose to stay because if they leave dm and granger die as the magic needed to send them home would drain them. If they both die however the world would lead to power struggle causing the gang to choose to stay but they adressed they aren't ready to leave.

The end of the 1987 TMNT Ninja Turtles We had a good run as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans ( Tmnt )

I dont mind the finale. It reminded me of the ending to the 90s Spider-Man animated series (which people also didnt seem to accept).

The point of an ending like that is that 'the adventure continues...' but in YOUR imagination. Thats how something like Turtles continues throughout the years by living on in the fans.

Not with a bang... But, a whimper.
Such a shame, that's some absolutely fantastic artwork it had too, really expressive!!!

But, that ending sounds like a planned future plotline they condensed down into a cliffhanger, in the hope the series is resurrected sometime in the future.

Why Is it that modern comic writers keep making sad and grim endings for the cartoons of our beloved franchises?
Are Millennial Writers just that Clinically depressed?

My dream finale' would be an official introduction of Kirby the Turtle (the one the creators pitched as a tribute to Jack Kirby) to deal with a universal threat needing to link every single hero together for a once and for all final battle. Give him a (White Banadana like a blank sheet of paper) and penultimatley take down the Turtles biggest threat.. Execuctives that keep cancelling them.
