Lost me at the reference to Paulo Freire.  Anyone familiar with Freire's work knows what an utter charlatan he was.

loving this new podcast, have been recommending it to people!

Great chat, thank you both for doing the work.

Quite a few years ago I was in a train and the voice said "Porridge Parkway is the next station" I thought it said that, how odd I thought.
The train stopped, I looked at the station signpost 'Horwich Parkway'
I can't even claim I had a hearing difficulty

Thank you for this conversation! ❤

Totally awesome interview 🙏🏻

30.00 Dr Boutros Boutros Ghali was so right when he said "Only stupid people don't changing my minds."

Thank fuck for that

Justin the Head boy of Canada I mean Prime Minister formed his first cabinet with the memorable 50/50 male female cabinet because it was 2015 lol.  He also layered DEI to his cabinet interestingly mainly to the females.  So while some experienced female liberals sat on the back benches some of his prime 50/50 DEI females received plum cabinet jobs.  One outcome Justin couldn’t care a less about was he gave a new cabinet minister a sink or swim high profile assignment.  She was meant to poll, nudge and move Canadians from First Past the Post to proportional
Representation.  To make a boring story short in ended in a splash of fiasco and it hurt her reputation badly.  She looked like a fool.  The benefit to Justin was he made a campaign promise to change the voting system and he wasn’t going to expend the political capital to keep it. What did our male feminist do, took the least experienced DEI 50/50 political appointee and throw her to the wolves.  Sister power.

Great!

I always love these shows with Julie, there's always so much to think about afterwards. She has a great way of cutting through it and getting right down to the core.

Bird isn’t that sexist, it comes from the Old English byrd, for maiden; it’s where “bride” comes from. Similarly “hen” in hen parties refers to a unit of beer, and the Geordie term “pet” is short for “petal”. Going “stag” however is from “stagnant” and not quite so nice.

There's not enough men like this in the world

i really like the way both handle this subject with their witty dialogiue. very entertaining.

What a good idea to do these interviews. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I wonder what she'd say about King Critical.

It amazes me that these people are collapsing the very society that makes it possible for them to exist and are oblivious to the fact.

Another wonderful talk. I'm loving these, can't wait for the next one.

Truly brilliant series!

These issues are more prevalent in certain demographics, just have to listen to the music and watch the videos, bet it never gets highlighted though.
