This is both just a bit of fluffy content and an important video to me, and you can take it either way, I don't mind. It's fluffy because its just a list of board games over the years that i've played and why i've fallen in and out of love with them. It's important, to me at least, because it's a huge part of my life story and the ups and downs therein. I've had a pretty good life for the most part but not without the occasional challenge, and I totally get that so many folks out there have had it a lot rougher than I, that's for sure. But I also don't ever want to be one of those internet fakes who pretends their life is amazing all the time, or drama all the time to get attention. All i wanted to do was to make a real video about my journey through life and board gaming at the same time. Anyways, let me know your journeys, especially games you adored that you no longer love, or games you just want to go back and revisit.

You’re such a top guy mate, love it that you gave the BGG user (Moonrock) credit for the idea, aswell as checking with them first. Class act 👏

There's something so nice about watching someone as passionate as you are talk about their favourite things :) It was also really great having you talk about games in a chronological timeline, reminiscing on the late-night gaming nights as a teenager, to how you game differently now being a father! Honestly, I thought that this was one of your best videos, which is saying a lot because all of your videos are so damn good lol! I felt like I got chills listening to your story, talk about the memories, stories, and favourite moments of all of these games. It inspires me to dig deeper into some of my own games , and maybe give a COIN war-game a chance sometime, I always keep dodging them lol xD Loved this video <3

I absolutely love this as I respect your reviews! You are one of my favorite reviews, and I tell my students to look for your reviews to find their potential favorite games

I love this idea. I saw a poll from someone, might even be the same person lol, that was turning 50 or something. Like had 50 years of gaming. Well they asked people what they would play to celebrate. Someone mentioned that you could play all your top games over the years. Really made me think about myself.

Really enjoyed this video. I would like to see deep dive videos that explore these lifestyle games. Even if I do not intend to play them, I find the topic of great interest. Thank you for sharing the personal angles as well.

The earliest game I played with my dad and brother as a kid were Candyland, Uncle Wiggly and Chutes & Ladders, all basically the same game. Then it was checkers and chess, monopoly, risk, life, stratego and scrabble with my grandma. A friend of mine had a rare game called King Oil that we liked to play. I actually found a pristine copy of it by running an ad in a local paper.
In high school we played D&D. After that I got into computer games with Wizardry on the Apple computer. I played thousands of PC and console games until a friend asked me to play a CoOp game called Lord of the Rings. It wasn't a great game but it opened my eyes to the world of modern board-gaming and I've never looked back. I keep my 40 favorite games on hand, all with every possible upgrade, organizers, painted minis, etc.

I remember watching a RedReVenge video on one of the original spirits from Spirit Island and realizing how little I actually knew about Spirit Island.

Life is crazy. Thank you for taking the time to remind us to stop, reflect, and be thankful.

My earliest memory of gaming would probably be "Snail's Pace Race". A stone cold classic, and a great game for kids!

This is cool walk through of gaming history. I like seeing how people interact with the hobby and what entices them to dive in.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I really enjoyed this one and thought I should drop you a line. Really enjoyed the personal feel of this video! Great work!
This also made me think of my board game journey throughout the years (ahem... decades, I should say)! Lovely stuff!

Thank you so much for this video Sir! I love games and I draw it back to playing simple card games like Jim Rummy & 21 as a child with my granny Anne in the West Coast of Ireland.

Straight to the point, this of all the thousands of game reviews and rules videos I have watched is making me look at why and what I love about the hobby.

Thank you and the best of luck to you with your future ventures and more importantly life itself 😁
