Death Angel, with Act III, would have become much bigger had they not crashed on the tour supporting this album. This is a fantastic album benefiting from a great production, stylistic variation and great songwriting.

Im so happy you put Among the Living as masterpiece because thats my favorite thrash album. I might go as far as putting it as my favorite 80s record

I would have put Megadeth's 'So far so good...' higher. It is their angriest album and one of their most interesting.

I feel like Celtic Frost and Helloween should have been covered in here. Acknowledging that some people would not regard them as classic thrash.

I don’t know many of these outside the bigger bands, but Beneath the Remains has always been one of my favourite thrash albums. Got it when it came out, on tape FFS, and it didn’t really leave my Walkman for weeks after. Just so much history for me that album, it’s perfection for me all the way.

Newsted left Flotsam after Doomsday was released in 1986. He co-wrote 3 songs on No Place because they were 3 songs leftover from the Doomsday sessions written by Newsted that the rest of the band finished in 1988 for No Place.

I'd put Sepultura in Perfection and Testament in Fantastic. Apart from those, great ranking!

Testament Practice is a great album. I used to not like that album. Then one day I got it. It’s kicks ass especially after the 3 rd song.

I lived this genre in the 80's. My favorite thrash bands in this era was Metallica, Anthrax, Sepultura, Testament, Suicidal Tendencies and Flotsam. I cannot disagree with the ranking accept for Flotsam and Suicidal Tendencies. I still listen to these two albums on a regular basis. These should be ranked higher.
