it was always so interesting to me how homestuck introduces sburb and yet form the very beginning and throughout every session the comic shows we NEVER see a 'standard' session. THe session the comic starts out focusing on, the Beta session, is incredibly borked not only from the fact it's a null session never meant to succeed but is also giving birth to not only a dangerous reality threat in Jack Noir but also tied to the birth of the main villain of the entire comic, the immortal demon Lord English. Hell, the Beta kids NEVER even MEET the Black King or Black Queen let alone fight them.
also from the way its shown in the comic, it seems THe Choice is the intended solution for the denizens, with fighting them being a red herring, one of the many ways you're tested by the game as to your growth as a hero of the game. After all, the Trolls fought THEIR denizens and it turned out their violent, impatent ways lead to a lot of problems for the universe they made.
homestuck contains a character that only exists to be a reference to rufio from the movie Hook. and somehow let's read homestuck got rufio's actual actor to voice him.
the vibe I'm getting is that sburb is just dungeons and dragons with extra steps and the DM is a stranger you've never met who doesn't care if you like them or not by the end of the story. Especially with the, "There is not a single sburb game that goes as intended," line LOL
The ending with the genesis gameplay feels like how homestuck did in the first few acts. Expecially the door incident and is very simular to "Rose do you see whats wrong with this image? Why is my bathtub at the top of the stairs?"
head up for anyone going for the voice over nexus option, its unfinished, and very slowly updating, but it gets damn far in, so just be ready to pick up where they stop
Dude after i saw your first video on the caste systems i just jumped in and I'm currently at act 6 act 3 and honestly it's 100% worth the time it takes to get through it. i liked it from the start and i still do thanks for the awesome vid that got me curious about Homestuck and i hope you continue to grow as a creator
important note, it's only preentry prototypes that effect the monsters and king/queen, any prototyping after entry has no effect on them. of course due to how the game works you do NEED to prototype something before entry or you break the game and make it unwinnable(other games bringing their own stuff in not withstanding of course)
PLEASEEEE make more homestuck vids like this!! ive been rewatching your caste systems video for background noise + it was so interesting, please make moreee
