I just happened on your channel when I noticed the mariniere in the thumbnail. I’m a devoted follower of Marie-Anne Lecoeur so I’m happy she inspires you too. I really enjoyed your Lookbook at the end. My favourite item would be the Chanel style jacket, and you have some pretty scarves that elevate your outfits. ❤

Je suis française, ayant vécu 35 ans a Paris et j'aime beaucoup les pièces gardées et vos associations. Le jean et la veste Chanel iraient bien avec le T Shirt blanc a manches longues. Pour ma part j'investirais également dans un jean bleu classique et une chemise a fine rayures bleu ciel et une paire de tennis blanches. Bonne continuation. Ca a été un plaisir de vous regarder. ❤

I locked onto the comment "I have to force myself to wear it." That would eliminate a lot of items from my closet! It is helpful to me to see what other people would get out of their closets because I tend to hang onto clothes for a very long time with the thoughts that I will wear the item. Nine times out of ten, I don't wear it or it doesn't fit anymore. I loved all of the outfits!

So inspiring and helpful. You’ve given me the courage to purge all the clothes I’m not wearing for various reasons similar to yours. I keep too much for that ‘just in case’ situation that never occurs! I loved all the outfits and it’s hard to choose one. The black dress with boots and tights looked great. Thanks for doing this.

Hi, I’m from Australia. I also watch Marie-Anne, plus others, like Valerie from Midlife Posh Closet, and What to Wear with Gemma. They all advocate for less prints. You’ve done a great job eliminating the dated pieces. Loved all the kept items. I’m gradually eliminating the old fashioned patterned pieces in my wardrobe that age us. Classic, elegant items is my new go-to in plain elegant colours that go well together. Navy & caramel, red & beige, red & navy or black, grey & burgundy, cream and beige, to name a few. So much easier matching plain colours than patterned ones. You need less clothes. Loved the Chanel jacket with the LBD and the black pants. So chic.

My wardrobe has very few patterns in the clothing pieces and I save that for my extensive scarf collection. It's far easier to mix and match the main pieces if you eliminate patterns. I have only a handful of things that are patterned and they are still simple (stripe or polka dot). I travel frequently and find that plain pieces are less memorable and I can pack very little and rewear the same things every few days without it being so noticeable. Loved the Chanel inspired jacket - it will be great with the winter white trousers on the shopping list.
