What Pastor John is describing about Thoughts, Feelings-words, Actions is the basis of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. The Bible described this pattern thousands of years before Psychology. I am a Christian Psychologist and my practice is based on Biblical Wisdom.

Technically speaking, according to Jonathan Edwards, “free will is the mind choosing“.

The thoughts , can be God, ours and the kingdom of darkness. Going back to the garden is where it all started , and we have choices to make of what direction we will go with our thoughts . God gives us tools in his word and by his spirit to renew our mind and walk in his power . He said his grace is sufficient , in that grace is provided everything we will ever need for this life and eternity .

I think the verse in the Bible that says we should take every thought captive to Christ means that we should control our mind such that we’re thinking the thoughts of Christ continually. To know the thoughts of Christ, we should study God’s word and learn how to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

God is love but God is also judgement because He is Holy and can't stand sin..I have so many questions I look forward to the answers to..I think an eating disorder is an imprisonment of the mind and body...I feel for everyone that lives with one or more and want to say, "Never give up you can be free of it one day, You can get better!" God is your only hope and yourself! Love yourself regardless of your thoughts! Want to know how to make your thoughts not only better but to have more control over them? The Word of God..Without a doubt! Spend time in it EVERYDAY as well as prayer and listen to great Christian Pastors as well like David Jeremiah and Robert Jeffress! Fill yourself with His Way, His Truth & His Life! It will change your life and the Holy Spirit will be on the inside of you helping you through it all! God Bless!
