(1) In the Chapter 1 Intro, it is stated (by Dr. Watson?) that "The scream came at 7 minutes to midnight" (or 11:43 PM). However, when Dr. Watson is telling the story in chronological order, and after his introduction of the people present in the Drawing Room, no scream is heard at all. Dr. Watson only hears what he thinks is a "servant dropping something heavy in the corridor beyond" at 11:40 PM. Then, 7-minutes later at 11:47 PM, "Simmons the butler came running into the room" to announce that he had heard a "shot" in the gun room, but the door was locked and there was no answer from Sir Aldis Fenwick. NO ONE HEARD A SCREAM, but it is still referenced multiple times later in the story.
(2) At 11:47 PM, "Simmons the butler came running into the (drawing) room" to announce that he had heard a "shot" in the gun room. Since when does a crossbow releasing its bolt/arrow sound like a shot? I would have asked the Butler at some near future interview if the "shot" sounded like a pistol, rifle, or shotgun discharging in the gun room to see what the type of "shot" he thought he heard? After all, what Dr. Watson heard/reported was a sound like a "servant dropping something heavy in the corridor beyond."
(3) Mr. Voss, the astronomer, invited anyone and everyone present in the Drawing Room to step outside with him to view a comet through his telescope, but only Holmes volunteered by jumping up from his chair to accept the offer. However, later in the story (around 54:15) Mr. Voss is accused of selecting Holmes from those present in the Drawing Room in order that he might have an undeniable alibi as shown in the following text:
""I grant further that a man clever enough to build such a mechanism is very likely clever enough to have arranged his own alibi with the same careful foresight, choosing a detective, the most credible witness available to him in the entire county as the very man who would swear without a shadow of
suspicion to his innocence."
Again, this is not true! Holmes volunteered to go and watch the comet with Mr. Voss; Holmes WAS NOT SELECTED by Mr. Voss!
I am sure this story has other "Problems", but it was taking too much of my time to uncover them, so I will leave the viewers with the three that I have identified above. Perhaps someone else will identify more in a future comment.
