The stock market is hitting record highs.
Some of the largest companies in America are worth more than ever.
Meanwhile, groceries cost more. Insurance costs more. Housing costs more. Financing a car feels ridiculous. Small businesses are getting squeezed. And a lot of Americans are making more money than they were five years ago but somehow feel like they can afford less.
So… WTF is actually going on with the U.S. economy?
In this video, I break down why Wall Street and the average American consumer can experience two completely different economies at the same time.
We’re talking about inflation, purchasing power, interest rates, government debt, the concentration of the S&P 500, global capital flowing into American assets, and why people who own assets can experience inflation very differently from people who primarily hold cash.
Then I bring it back to real estate.
Because whether you're deciding if you should buy a $300,000 house or a $3 million commercial property, the bigger question is ultimately the same:
Where is your money sitting, what is it costing you, and is your financial position actually getting stronger over time?
The stock market being green doesn't necessarily mean you're getting wealthier.
Your purchasing power tells a much more personal story.
