Matt, you could dump a gallon of paint on that cab, walk away and still have a far more valuable machine than the one you brought home. I know that you will continue to do your best and will not be satisfied until you can be proud of your work. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Most people run to the store to pick up something during their lunch.  Matt goes home to paint equipment.

Yeah that fiberglass reinforced filler can be a pain. Also depends on the length of fiber. For what you’re doing short strand is what you want and filling gaps long strand. Hope that helps. Your technique is fine neat thing about body filler is it’s redoable. I would make one suggestion when you’re sanding that stuff I’d be in a tyvek suit with gloves taped at the sleeve. Plus on bare metal an etching primer first then filler primer. Gives the layers something to bite into
