Scandinavia in autumn – is it worth it? In search of vibrant autumn colors, deserted hiking trails, idyllic campsites, and of course, the Northern Lights, we took the ferry to Oslo at the end of September. From there, we planned to experience the Scandinavian autumn for about two weeks and were eager to see if it was worth it. Here, we'll share our experiences, hikes, and much more with our campervan.

We noticed that most campsites are already closed at this time of year, so we spent most of our time wild camping or in official parking areas. We hope it goes without saying that you should leave your campsites clean and take any trash you find with you. Before lighting a campfire, we checked the "Brandrisk Ute" app (https://www.msb.se/sv/om-msb/informat...) to see if it was currently permitted and always had water on hand to extinguish the fire before going to sleep.
