RIU Palace Kukulkan Review: The TRUTH About Cancun's Hottest New RIU! 🤯
RIU Palace Kukulkan attempts the impossible—creating the perfect all-inclusive! Is this the best RIU resort ever built? In this no-filter, honest review, I break down the stunning highs and shocking lows of Cancun's most talked-about new RIU property.
I stayed here four nights and did everything to see if RIU's attempt at a "unicorn resort" actually worked. You'll get a full tour of the upgraded room, the controversial pools, the deal-breaker beach, and most surprisingly, the absolutely DELICIOUS food that blew my mind.
📍 RESORT DETAILS: I stayed at RIU Palace Kukulkan in Cancun's Hotel Zone. This is an Adults-Only, All-Inclusive resort known for its prime location next to Live Aqua and near La Isla Shopping Mall.
🤔 Is RIU Palace Kukulkan worth it? I give my brutally authentic take as usual:
· The Food: UNBELIEVABLE for a RIU. From the best breakfast buffet to an incredible Asian fusion restaurant and a dinner buffet that tied for the best we've ever had at a RIU.
· The Room: A full tour of the modern, chic room with a jacuzzi tub, stocked minibar, and stunning ocean views. The uncomfortably firm bed must be mentioned.
· The Service: The best and most attentive service I've ever experienced at any RIU property.
· The Location: Excellent! Steps away from shopping, pharmacies, and other attractions.
· The Major Flaws: The shockingly bad beach maintenance and the lazy, undersized pool design that holds this resort back from true greatness.
💎 Elite Club Upgrade: WORTH IT? I break down the 5 specific reasons I chose NOT to upgrade to Elite Club at this particular property and whether you should consider it.
🔥 The Bottom Line: This resort has so much potential but is held back by two critical flaws. I explain exactly who should book this hotel and who should look elsewhere. The food and service are top-notch for a RIU, but can they make up for the beach and pools?
