American Sushi Girl here: It makes sense to brush your teeth after every meal because the food particles left in your mouth grow germs and bacteria. Also if you are a coffee drinker like me, your teeth look stained and need to be whitened with toothpaste often. One must also be mindful of having an offensive breath. I also have oily hair which requires me to wash it every other day (I'm 73) and still have oily skin and hair. Our hair attracts dirt from the air and gets sticky, greasy, flat no fluff if left unwashed 2-3 days. I also never blow my nose in public, only in the bathroom. Many of these "strange" habits are just common sense good hygiene habits everyone should be doing.

Washing hair everyday is not weird at all. Filipinos wash hair everyday sometimes 2x specially in summer.
Also, drinking tap water in UK is common. Even in restaurants you have a choice for tap or bottled water.

Before i loc'd my hair, i used to wash my hair every day. Now that im dreadlocked, i was my hair once a month. More often in the summer or after activities.

I haven't drank straight tap water since i left NYC in 95.

I think most people brush when it's convenient. A bathroom isn't always readily accessible. But brushing 2x a day is just as acceptable.

I carry around toothbrush and toothpaste in my bag in Australia .
I wash my hair every second day and I hate it when my sons sniff instead of blowing there noses,I think in Australia it would be considered rude to sniff and not blow as long it’s into a tissue or handkerchief not into your hand.

My wife LOVES kimche! Her best friend of ten years was N Korean. She would give my wife homemade Kim he regularly. I'd love to know how to make it, if you've looking for video ideas. My wife moved two thousand miles away from her Korean friend. Even the local Asian market doesn't have homemade kimchee. Every one smells and tastes WAY wrong !

I was also taught to brush teeth 3 times a day after meals, but I only brush them in the morning now.

I been educated for a streak hygiene so I see it normal !
But to clean my nose of course I will but not in front of People!

I from the Caribbean and I brush my teeth at work…. Washing your hair everyday will dry it out.

About washing your hair everyday I think it's because of a mix of resasons: very oily, scarce&thin type of hair, in comparison to western people, and to that polution was added.
About brushing their teeth in public there're other countries where people do it as well but no so commonly

Btw G Angel, your hair is so beautiful! Is it true that there is a set price for every length of hair to get a haircut there? Can you recommend some salons in Seoul that I can go to while I’m there? That is such a popular thing to do for many (going to the salon to get your hair done in Korea). 😂
I was trying to find a place to ask this question for your suggestions. Haha.

I find it totally normal to brush teeth after every meal. Dentists and parents teach us that in Europe too. Truth is, most people don't actually do it.
I carry a toothbrush and toothpaste travel size in my bag.

I’m Filipino born. I maintain toothbrush in my handbag. I brush teeth after lunch.

I wash hair everyday.

The first one we do to in Colombia. About the second one, if you wash your hair everyday, it would be producing much more grease and the scalp produces as much grease as much as you wash it and it's going to smell more. Each person gets used to something specific and that's the way their body works.
