im farsighted in both eyes and one is lazy...atlesat thats what my mom told me since i was young...it doesnt wander...just a lot weaker than the other eye. i know i cant make that eye perfect but is there a procedure that would benefit me to get me out of glasses?

I did LASIK almost two weeks ago. Best decision in my life.

I use contact lenses and I have done so for more than 30 years.
No problems, almost perfect vision. No pain, but I also have the most expensive contact lenses possible, at a monthly rate of $50.
The advantage of these contact lenses is that oxygen can easily penetrate through the surface, which is important for the cornea.
I am not going to have any eye operations until I am half blind (I have had laser procedure against detaching retina though)

I’ve needed glasses since age 5 and got contacts at 14. But following two corneal ulcers I’ve decided at the age of 34 to get corrective surgery. No idea what procedure I will have, that’s up to the specialist. But the thought of never needed glasses or getting infections from contacts again makes me want to sob with joy.

So for someone over 45 years old, you suggest IOL ? I use glasses for reading and want to get rid of them .

I had LASIK in 1998. My vision went from 20/200 to 20/15. Now that I'm older, it's down to 20/30 & 20/50. I never had problems with LASIK.
Due to age, I need reading glasses.

Your eyes are part of your brain and were not meant to be cut, burnt, and reshaped with a laser. Stick with eyeglasses and contacts. Coming from someone who had botched lasik and ended up having to get a corneal transplant in the worst eye.

All these are scary. I have astigmatism and it would be nice to see 20,20 but the thought of doing any of these are scarier than just living with my astigmatism and using glasses. I'm ok with my glasses, much safer. Maybe when they develop a pill I can take to fix it 😅😂
