Heat pumps were a complete mystery to me; the usual primary circuit diagrams seemed so complex. I discovered your channel two years ago, and thanks to you, I installed a simple system—it all makes so much sense when you explain it! And it works incredibly well, with an annual COP between 4 and 4.5.

Honestly it wasn't really manufacturers in the UK that pushed for more complex systems, it was the regulations for zoning and energy efficiency - which inherently aren't written by heating engineers. Been fitting weather comp domestically since 2005 and my father commercially for best part of 40 years, most designs open system. More often than not it was building control that had the issues against it and even now the EPC weighs down open zone compared to TRV systems. Absolute madness that people can write the regulations without ever having done the job.

The boiler room looks like a piece of art, my compliments!

Its so nice to see an aurban plumbers video! It feels like a long time between videos tbh! Excellent content as usual ❤

Another great video and install.  I am a self employed 1 man band gas and oil boiler engineer.
I have no need to get into heatpumps as i have an absolute abundance of work with what i currently do.

However with so many 'renewables' companies out there making a fortune with no real clue or care what they really are doing, it's great to see Urban Plumbers setting an example of how good these systems can be designed and installed.
If i ever did get into this sector,  i would aspire to the standards you guys are setting.
Cheers and Merry Christmas.

Ohhh man, I love it when channels show their mistakes or near misses like you did with the light around the 1:30 mark.  It gave me a good laugh, but it also shows your integrity and transparency.

I moved to Germany from the UK, and we're looking at replacing the old oil fired heating system.  The inlaws want a wood pellet burner as their trusted heating company says heatpumps are impossible for us, but I think heatpumps will work just fine, as well as being less labour intensive to run.
It's a complicated old farmhouse from the 1890s, that has had extensions on extensions up until the late 1980s.  Insulation is basically zero 😅

I'm learning a lot from you.  Thanks for making these vids!! :)

Always real, and never bettered, my first point of contact when designing heating for my old french barn conversion

Every time I see you install a Viessmann, I think back to 2022 when you did your first :)

Excellent work again, and loving the new slow an smooth camera work too.

Awesome video, the links are fun too see. Amazing efficiency and good tips. Hope you will install many more like this. You help people and the environment!

Last month (Jan 2026) cop was 5.89! Super impressive

Very well explained. Another great video. I look forward to the course 👍🏻👍🏻

Great videos Great videos - very well explained!
I see a lot is changing in the UK industry, and new things are finally making their way here. Although it's a slow process. There's a lack of good industry training for those inexperienced, and it's hard to find it. Thanks for your channel! PS. Pozdrawiam mocno i proszę o więcej filmów Twoich i reszty  naszych PL rodaków w UK. :)

Always a great watch with great info

Syzmon - that was excellent. Thank you for sharing.👍

Great video, in my home will be also a very simple system. I have buffer volume enough. So no buffer needed. And one zone, the whole house. So yeah only the heatpump and outside temp will run the whole thing. Love that you also started the academy website. In so many European countries they need more knowledge about this. Two friends had their system installed, and guess wrong and overcomplicated. Such waste of material and money. Keep going with your educational video's.*thumbs up*

Heat geek philosophy ❤

Amazing efficiency, always interesting

Incredibly beautiful and professionally done with the copper pipes precisely mounted. The plant room number two I could have used a glass door with RGB effect lights on the inside.., for a nice view. Nice work should not always be hidden..in my opinion.. Wishing you and your team a Merry Christmas.

Very nicely done. Thanks
