Welcome back to another exciting Marvel Summer! Today, I'm doing a first time watching reaction to Captain America, and I'm super excited about it. I have the least knowledge about Steve Rogers, so it was fun to provide my movie commentary as I watched. Join me for this reaction and see my thoughts on the MCU's Captain America!

Hello editor here, Originally this cut was 1h but it kept having copyright issues with both audiovisual and just visual. I hope you all still will enjoy the reaction and video. Be careful with spoilers in the comment section as well thank you :)

The line "And der Führer digs for trinkets in the desert" is a direct reference to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Captain America is my favorite MCU character. As a man, this is the type of man you wanna be. As a woman, this is the type of man you wanna marry. As another commenter said, it's not about his power. It's about his honor, integrity, and his will to never give up.

"I just smell a pizza and I gain 2 kilos" Hahahaha😂

Captain America isn’t about his power. It’s about his honor, integrity and his penchant for never giving up. The super soldier serum amplified those qualities

It’s too bad you already knew about Bucky/The Winter Soldier. That was a great reveal later on.

Of all the MCU movies, I think this one feels like a comic book come to life the most with its visual style.

Captain America is the Marvel hero I most expected to find uninteresting and he easily became my favorite. He has the best solo movie run of the MCU, starting here.

37:21 “What made you so special?”
“Nothin’. I’m just a kid from Brooklyn.”
Humility. That’s what makes him special.

For those who don't understand, Alamagordo is in N.M. near an Air Force base called Hollowman. It's near the original test site of the first prototype of the atomic bomb, that was seen as far away as Las Vegas. They had just opened that area to the public my 3rd year on the Air Force base in 1989 . The center of the blast was glass.

Rogers wasn't the ONLY one to run toward the grenade, Agent Carter was running toward to too.

That's how they treated Audie Murphy! He was too small, until he became a medal of honor winner. When you lie about your age and height to get into the military to become a hero is incredible!

@Ellis_Hugh 4 months ago

Thor and Hulk were what they were, but the first IM movie and the first CA movie are really THE foundation of the entire MCU.

9:00 Carter was going for the grenade too, Steve just got there first.

Captain Americas character has one of the best story arcs of all the avengers imho

@Zerbyte 4 months ago

Hugo Weaving is greatly underappreciated. I mean, in V for Vendetta you don't even see his face yet an amazing performance.

I still have a crush of Hayley Atwell.

@PerfeccionistoPerezoso78 4 months ago

3:22 Every single one of these would be enough to make Rogers draft-deferrable.

Best of Captain America the First Avenger Marvel movie ever

Yeah, the man who played the villain, the Red Skull, was Hugo Weaving. He DID play Agent Smith, in "The Matrix," as well as Inspector Abberline, in "The Wolf Man," with Benicio Del Toro and Sir Anthony Hopkins (and, I don't care what the critics said: I LOVED that version of the movie!)
