A story so bad that DC wrote it off as non canon before it was even finished, and just skipped ahead with Matt Fraction's run not even acknowledging it.

It almost seems like Lee drew a bunch of splash pages and decided to create a Hush story around them.

Hush 2: No, REALLY shut up this time!

The best thing about H2SH? It probably gave us a Cassandra Cain Batgirl solo ongoing series (cause Loeb HATES Cass; Lee has mellowed on that stance). So Cass gets to be not in this putrid story and gets a solo ongoing again. Win. Win.

Ya know, as soon as I saw Riddler in a bomber jacket and straps and how meh he looked, I decided to seriously wait for a trade.

That's sad to hear. With that being said, I didn't think the first Hush storyline was any good.

Heart of Hush cleaned up the messy story that the OG Hush did. God I LOVE Paul Dini's Batman comics.

Was never a fan of the original Hush. The entire story hinges upon “who is Hush?” Turns out is Bruce Wayne’s childhood best friend who we’ve never even heard of, and he wants revenge for the stupidest reasons ever. Also, why the hell is he called Hush? The Joker is a clown. Riddler tells Riddles. Catwoman dresses like a cat and is a cat burglar. Hush occasionally whispers? Everybody occasionally whispers.

To be honest, the very first Hush , back in 2002, leaves a lot to be desired, not just as a story arc, but as a villain as well. The only good story of his has been Heart of Hush , written by Paul Dini and drawn by Dustin Nguyen.
