What I respect most is she doesn’t try to spruce it up give her own twist… she just nails it by respecting the original!

I'm so glad she sung it in German. Major respect for that. The original is one of my favourite songs. Sadly, many Dua Lipa fans listening to this won't understand the meaning or the fear of nuclear war that we wnet through in the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. The end of everything was a genuine concern when I was a kid.

My high school offered German as a Foreign Language Class, I took that class for the SOLE purpose of making this my go to Karaoke song.

It's impressive how she speaks in the local language and learns a local song in every country! She sang an André Hazes song in the Netherlands and everybody went crazy.

Mag ihre Musik ganz gerne, würde mich aber nicht als Fan bezeichnen. Aber das ist mal der Hammer und man versteht ihren deutschen Gesang astrein! Respekt! Die Frau hat ihren Erfolg zu Recht!

Ich war da und mit meinen 57 Jahren, der ein absoluter Nena-Fan war, war das Entenpelle pur.Wahnsinn, was Dua Lipa den Abend für eine Show abgeliefert hat.

Classic example of how great music and great songs do transcend languages.  Nena's original German version made it to #1 here in Australia. Most Australians didn't even know that there was an English version that was released a little later. The English version didn't chart in Australia. Many of our German friends were astounded to learn that many of us Australians were very familiar with Nena's original version and it's meaning. Thanks for the great video. She should record this classic track.. I have no doubt she'll smash the charts with it as it has before.. It is high time a new generation gets to know this seemingly simple, but not so simple song..

Was expecting her to sing the English lyrics, but this is way better! Really convincing - if she ever singles this, I bet the German speaking area in Europe will buy this!
