Howdy chap, out of interest was the choice of the Rangemaster Sovereigns just on group size? Have you tried the heavier pellets? The reason I ask is because I concluded the 8.44gr was too light for longer shots and stopped using them. Let's take your 63 yard shot as an example, a 5mph cross wind would push that around a whopping 5 inches off the target, 4mph 4 inches, 3, 3 etc. So a tiny 1mph crosswind would likely result in 1 inch off the target. And when a rabbit kill zone is 1 inch, that's a miss. A JSB heavy brings that down to 0.7 inch, so better, but not great. A Zan 13 gr slug 0.3 inch and a clean kill. Ever thought about putting a heavy slug 1:16 twist liner in that M4 and running Zan 13s? We would recommend that if taking a 63 yard shot, as it is rare to have a night with zero wind. You wouldn't need a slug magazine and the 13s are long enough to run in the standard FX mag.
