The Freightliner Class 70 has finally had its first proper preview in Train Sim World 7 — and after watching the official Dovetail Live preview stream, I have to say... *THIS LOOKS GOOD!*
In this video we're taking a first look at the brand-new *Freightliner BR Class 70* coming to **Train Sim World 7**, including the locomotive itself, the cab, sounds, controls, train faults, the new MLA engineering wagons and some of the gameplay coming with the Add-On.
I'll also be looking at where the Class 70 can be used across the Train Sim World network, including **West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley, Midland Main Line: Leicester – Nottingham and Derby, and Airedale & Wharfedale Network**.
The Class 70 brings a new modern British freight experience to Train Sim World 7, with more than **100 driveable services**, 8 new scenarios, new timetable layers and support for additional routes. The locomotive also features an interactive driver display, realistic performance, suspension and handling, plus a range of train faults to deal with during your services.
And then there's the brand-new **MLA engineering wagon**, including different load variants in Wascosa yellow.
IMPORTANT
All gameplay footage used in this video was captured from the **official Dovetail Live Class 70 Preview Stream**.
This is therefore a **FIRST LOOK and first-impressions video**, rather than my full review. I haven't driven the Class 70 myself yet, so I'll be saving my final verdict on the physics, braking, handling and overall driving experience for the full review once I've had proper hands-on time with the locomotive.
But based on what we've seen so far... I'm very impressed.
The *Train Sim World 7: Freightliner BR Class 70 Add-On* releases on *15 October 2026* for **£14.99 / €17.99 / $17.99**.
So, what do YOU think of the Class 70? Has this preview convinced you to pick it up, or are you still on the fence?
Let me know in the comments!
