Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley confronts Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent over President Donald Trump’s timeline for the Iran war during a heated congressional hearing. When Bessent says he does not recall how long Trump said the conflict would last, Pressley fires back: ‘I’ll jog your memory’ before reminding him that Trump had predicted four to five weeks, while she says six months had already passed. Congressman Himes challenges the administration's claims of being free-market advocates, citing government ownership of 39 private companies, the imposition of tariffs, and a $10 billion intervention in the Treasury bond market that saw yields rise rather than fall
