Reporters don’t push back. They just accept. They’re afraid to lose access. Same with booth and radio guys. Someone needs to ask, “what do you deem to be the needs in the offseason and what are you going to do including opening the big bag of money?”
It's never gonna change with this ownership/management... they're complete frauds... they do not care about winning anything... it's a business to them... they spin so much BS in their press conferences... Breslow is impossible to listen to.. They admit no faults or mistakes in judgement... they are insufferable.-
The fools that run the Sox could give a master class in gaslighting. We’re crazy to think they’ve sucked for years because ownership and management keeps making the same screw ups, apparently.
Always great listening to you, Tony. Would love to hear you talk with Ian Cundall from Sox Prospects on a future show. He has great insight on the team going into 2027.
I think this season was a failure. They did nothing to address their problem from last year. They ended up in the playoffs in the same exact spot as last season, against the Yankees in NY but didn’t even make it competitive. At least they won a game last year. This team was pretty much the same thing as last year.
Chad Tracy was the fall guy for a computer driven organization. If he made those decisions, he is a fool, and we are stuck with him for the next few years. Especially considering who he replaced the starters with both nights, a reliever with an era over five for the entire month of September. Regardless of this, the offense is terrible. That's on Bresbot.
One thing you can say about Curtis Mead is that the Phillies got Cristopher Sanchez from the Rays for him, but hard to project him in any way going forward.
When addressing the question about the lack of power, "Mr. Disingenerous" feels it is important to note that this team had seven guys who hit more home runs than they previously had hit before. It is a non answer made by someone who thinks he is smarter than everyone else. Monstario is one of those guys and he went from a high of 4 to a high of 6 this year. Abreu hit 2 more than last year and played 40 more games than 2025. Caleb Durban, as noted in the video, had two more than last year. Sogard (5) Gaspar (10) and Seigler (3) are the others and aside from a ten day period where Gaspar got incredibly hot, none of these players are power hitters and they combined to account for no real power. If you feel good the team addressed the power issue in the past off season and it was addressed because seven players hit more homers than ever before, well keep dreaming and keep buying those tickets!!! The team is counting on you.
People keep missing the point regarding the pulling of the SPs. Even if the RPs pitched lights out and didn’t give up any runs, the offense still didn’t score enough runs to win either game.
