There were (1) No proper bedding (2) No fans, no air.conditioning (3) no air ventilation (4) no proper atmosphere neither while practicing nor while performing.... Think how strong will devoted people were they., who became encyclopaedia mile stones in the history of their contributions.

Kumar Ji knew sur very very well. It is a solved problem (i.e. a defined path) to become a musician and add some raags to your belt, and then with few years of workout develop decent tayyari and laykaari skills. But knowing sur is different then anything else. You either know it, or you never know it (no matter how much you practice). To him, sur was a natural friend and an individual, a person.
