I've always thought it was cool that no matter how depressed an area is, be it in the hood or just super rural, there's always random homes that are well maintained with a nice yard.

My uncle was a doctor in Vicksburg for over 30 years. He retired about 10 years ago. Nicest guy you could hope to meet.

I Love Mississippi. Born and raised. Not like most go to the city and think they're better. God loves us all no matter from and he knows our hearts

I read Vicksburg was the major supply center for the Confederate States of America keeping its armies supplied with weapons and ammunition. After the Union coastal blockades it became the only supply center. 🗝

The small area shown is called the bottom, but there're plenty of beautiful homes and neighborhoods in Vicksburg, MS. The bottom was a nice area many years ago. I noticed that the well maintained homes in that area were not shown.

All the home all seem to have good structure and could easily be fixed up. I saw some well kept homes.
