There might be the leftovers of a teletext signal on the original tape, if you view this through a teletext enabled TV and press TEXT you might be able to make out enough of the date to try and help search for the title

hard one to work out as it had no opening titles or production slides.  properly a filler programme.

12-09-1980 was a Friday and it was my Birth-day 😂

The date is Friday 12th September 1980, 10:00am. The Australian film was an unbilled filler.

Ulster Television showed these Australian fillers very occasionally, as they also did with similar from Canada.

As I recall, they were even keener on showing such-like from USA, sometimes topped and tailed with titles and music (think a lot like 'Vegas') under the billing 'Vision USA'.

I seem to remember them being especially popular as fillers in place of ITN News bulletins during industrial action at ITN itself blacking-out bulletins, or elsewhere stopping UTV from transmitting them.

More rip roaring fun to be had on Southern television in 1980 I see! Then end it all on “a reason for living,” just so’s it helps the suicide rate in Southern’s region to go up! No wonder they lost their license?!
