Biggest mistake is watching this when you can't make it and you're hungry

Mexico needs to be respected alongside France and Italy for having one of the great cooking cultures of the world.

I have long maintained that the humble burrito is one of humankind's greatest achievements.

Thank god, burritos that aren't 99% rice.

When i was a kid we did not see rice in a burrito. Rice was a side dish that cost extra. Now they use rice as a cheap filler.

The chemistry. The non-excessive, funny editing. The food forward approach to cooking. The authenicity. This is a great video from a skilled cook AND content creator.

I lived in Sonora for 2 years, and one of my favorite burritos was called "Quesoburro" where they melted queso chihuahua onto the large tortilla then filled it with meat, beans, avocadoe, and pico. They were the size and thickness of my forarm (they did not skimp on meat). That with the table salsa and a bottle of coke, some of the best food memories ever.

10:11: Fun fact: "vaquero" is where we got "buckaroo" from

Anyone can cook any cuisine, but I appreciate that Adam brought in the man whose culture it is, to show the right way. Much respect. The food is mouth watering.

okay, the title had me thinking this would be kind of a straight forward kind of video, which can be good info, BUT this video is SO much more, kind like how a burrito hides the surprise inside. This is my first video here and you two are charming speakers, the video is packed with great info (historical, anecdotal, silly). Respect for authenticity but room for creativity. Easy, unpretentious, but seriously good. great job everyone!

Oh these two should go discover Mexico. I would watch everything from them.

Lard is what makes refried beans so damn good. under covid I purchased some lard from Amazon. I just wanted to try it out. I made a batch of classic beans and fried them in lard. Made a HUGE difference. the beans were "meaty" and so very savory. now I LOVE refried beans. topped with some queso fresco

Funny that anything someone wants to try and put in a burrito you encouraged people to try it. Just earlier today while eating a my homemade beef and bean burrito at my desk at work. I though this is great and it saves me so much money to just make burritos on saturday and eat them for lunch at work all week I should keep doing this. Then as an american with american problems I thought "do I really want to eat beef and bean burritos every day?" Then it hit me all at once. My wife is Filipino and I love both Filipino food and Mexican food these need to be combined. I want to make Sisig burritos. If you don't know what Sisig is look is up and tell me that it would not be fire. Close second I think will be pork belly adobo burritos. I think this weekend i'm going to make both.

I’m 69 this year and I swear when I moved to Glendale, AZ in 1971, the mamacita in my neighborhood made the best bean burros (not burritos) in the whole of the southwest. That’s when I became an honorary Mexican from Wisconsin. Homemade tortillas, beans, salsa, and queso. Who doesn’t love salsa, jalapeños. She fed this white girl many a burro. I miss those days and the hole in the wall restaurants. Best food ever.

As a Juarense, born and raised in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua—the city where the burrito was invented—I approve! The flour tortilla can have different textures depending on how it's stretched; it can be fluffy or a bit thin, like the ones in the video. However, the recipe and cooking method shown here are spot on.

This is the first video I've seen of Americans making burritos actually correctly! Congrats and thank you for showing the world the right way. The burrito is an essential part of our daily diet and a significant part of our identity as Juarenses.
