I was sold a tiny fat sling as a T vagans but after it's last molt it's definitely a B albiceps. So perfect timing for this video!

I may not always comment, but rest assured that I always watch your videos.   No matter how many times I watch, I always learn some priceless nugget of information from each video.   If I have a question, the first place I go hunting for answers is your vast library of informative videos.   I almost always find the answer.   I needn’t look any further.   Y’all have a truly blessed day!!!!:

one word for the humidity problem during the winter time, my friend -- Humidifier! :) I have one because this summer has been absolutely brutal and the AC was killing off all the needed ambient humidity where it was having an affect on some of my slings. I lost two over this summer due to low humidity in my aurora travel trailer so I didnt want to make the mistake twice of not having a humidifier so I got one, and kept things at a nice 50 - 70 percent humidity range and so far it's fixed the problem and all my spiders are happy and thriving and having more successful molts. So for summer or winter, the humidifier is definitely a spider keeper's best friend. This is so I dont over wet or saturate the spiders' enclosures either, trying to keep the inside humidity up. So with the combination of both the humidifier and water dish overflow in their enclosures like I usually do and things are good and my Avics got the proper air flow with very little stagnant air. it is a balancing skill for sure with these little spiders and with ANY spiders come to think of it. But yeah definitely humidifiers help a LOT :)

Another wonderful video Tom and beautiful species featured.

You and Billie are so good at this! Thanks!

I don't have any of these ... yet . Thank you Tom !

Hiya Tom!
They’re 3 wee cuties 😊 and were good as gold. And putting quite a bit of size on. Hope all’s good with you guys too. Take care 😊

LOLOLOL, great video Tom and Billie. I love how you two are so great together especially when you guys do your videos. Take care have a great rest of the weekend and be safe. 🤣😁

I got very lucky early on in my tarantula keeping to find an adult female albiceps at a pet store. She's still going strong and is absolutely gorgeous! One of my favorites, and my best guess is she's somewhere around 20 years old now. And my first tarantula was an adult female G. porteri. By the time she passed, she had become almost a white color, almost like she was getting gray hairs with age. When I saw that she was slowing down, I picked up a sling of the same species. Fortunately, she also turned out to be female and is finally getting to the 3 inch mark. I agree, they really start to grow faster at ~1 inch, and it's worth the wait. I really hate when people say they're just boring brown spiders. I think they have a really unique color you can only fully appreciate when you see them in person.

It is so refreshing to see a quality video with real action not some AI foolery. No ads every 10 seconds. I would watch your channel if I did not like T's. Thanks Tom. Hi Billie!!

I have one of each, purchased at different times so the G rosea is about the size of yours and the B albiceps has molted twice and is still tiny and jelly bean ❤ glad to see yours, gives me patience to wait for the beauty to appear.

Oh man the B albiceps is my favorite species! They are just stunning, amazing feeders, and hilariously stubborn and I just can't get enough of them! Mine is about one molt past your bigger one and is absolutely showing bold adult colors! It's in premolt now and I peek every day hoping to see new clothes and size! I found before this last molt, it stayed borrowed but it has been out on display ever since it hardened up. I was also able to see that it is a male and im super bummed. If I ever get the chance to find a female I'll be all over it!

Hey Tom great video I do have a AF roses and a b albiceps which is about 3”. Yours are gorgeous

Our B. albiceps F sub-adult is beautiful but unusually defensive. Today she threw a threat pose when we refilled her water dish. I wish we had an average docile girl!

Just thinking about getting the rosea on sale, and this popped up in my notifications.
A sign?

B Albiceps was my first tarantula I got him at Petco they sold him to me for $50 as a basic. But at the time I didn't know what species he was he still had that brown color and after his first molt with me he got those adult colors. He's like my pet rock😂. Very rare do I see him move one minute he's in one spot. Few minutes later he's somewhere else like I told my husband I think he has a tractor beam😂. He's not as active as my other tarantulas but he's still beautiful.

My mean teacher btw

Arid species like a bit of moisture in my experience as well. I have a 3-3.6 inch DLS Aphonopelma moderatum and she absolutely adores a bit of lightly dampened dirt. I assume since they live in burrows in the wild they control their own moisture preferences and don't keep themselves completely dry. My A. moderatum molts and feeds more often with the added moisture.

Great Vid !!! 🩶🩶🩶
