A romantic story like none has come before

3:25:00 it's not the same. in all the cycles that came before the one where Phainon and Cyrene lived, the heroes of those worlds gave the coreflames to the Irontomb. what Cyrene does here is reset THIS specific cycle where Aglaea and company lived so no more coreflames are given to Irontomb so they can't be born.

The key information here is that Amphoreus is around for a LOONG time with different people everytime. The last cycle before the one we met was the cycle were the chrysos heirs were like Nikador and Polyxia (cass's sister). if this cycle wasn't the last one (according to Lygus himself) and Phainon delivered the worldbearing coreflame, the "era nova" would be a new world with another flamechasing journey with different people based on Phainon's memories.

Cyrene stops the cycles, making time reset to the begining of THIS ONE cycle that we know, starting the eternal recurrence. that's way different.

There are two separate "looping behaviours" in Amphoreus:
1. The standat process that restarts the world, replacing the old Titans with the Chrysos Heirs (example, the Nikador of the previous cycle was replaced by Gnaeus)
2. The "abnormal" looping that is being caused by Khaslana using Cyrene's power of Time. (this only repeats the SAME cycle, and is called Eternal Recurrence, or ER. There have been 33.550.036 ERs to date + the original cycle that Khaslana comes from) We arrive in ER 33.550.036 and the trailer for Phainon happens in ER 33.550.035 which is basically showing us how it would end if we never arrived.

Hope this explanation helps, feel free to ask additional questions.

5:40:42

The strongest Lord Ravager, Zephyro BTW

4:14:24 yes he's just stalling time for the someone beyond the sky to reach amphoreus and break the cycles. If no help come from beyond the sky, he and cyrene will keep repeating the cycles until they break.

5:27:33 Oh, don't worry, Joshua (Phainon's VA) is just warming up...

5:09:00 You know, if you are getting desensitized after watching 0.000000000000001% of Phainon's suffering, I think you ain't cut out for this chief.

2:43:43 Flame Reaver making the remembrance icon is always awesome to me

4:59:40 Yes, let Irontomb rise. Now everyone dies permanently, no take backs. Every time he killed everyone he loved is now meaningless

3:25:01 - These are different cycles. First, there were extrapolations of the Scepter with different heroes (models), perfecting the Black Tide, Lord Ravager, IronTomb. This section featured the last actual extrapolation, which was deemed the final one. That is, upon its completion, IronTomb would have escaped the confines of Amphoreus, triggering a limited apocalypse (the fall of the Aeon of Erudite). The second cycle constantly rewound to the beginning of the last extrapolation, preventing IronTomb from completing its training. In the hope that sooner or later, external forces capable of defeating Lord Ravager would emerge.

This chapter had the perfect conclusion. After that grueling slog through pain and depression witnessing what Phainon has been through, just to desperately maintain the status quo, to keep it locked into place before that final fatal second where everything would go to complete shit as soon as Irontomb gets completed, with no end in sight...

getting to see his hope renew knowing he's actually managed to hang on long enough for something to finally change, and see him talk shit to Lygus, and then go absolutely batshit is gloriously cathartic.

In one patch they ground us to dust, and then made it all feel so, so freaking worth it.

I've never wanted a character to get a happy ending more than Phainon, and even though we're not done yet at this point in the story, this really felt like getting handed a torch to carry over the finish line in his honour. Whether we take over the mantle of Deliverer for this last lap, we all know who made it possible.

Also... having Phainon in your roster and having resisted playing him to not peek ahead is *baller*, I hope the payoff was as awesome as it looked like.

If you've not seen his trailer, Coronal Radiance, before - massive recommendation, it's awesome. No spoilers in it for anything you haven't seen yet, either.

By the way in the 3.0 live we were told it was going to be a happy story

One of the biggest clues that Flame Rever was Phainon, was his animation. It’s the same one Phainon does. Also same sword.
Almost a year ago, after this story dropped, people laid flowers for Phainon all over the world.
You can find a short if you search for „Phainon tribute“.
They could empathise with his suffering to bear the world.

12:24 holy foreshadow

By far the best Phainon animation reaction on this site

1:30 TraMagic fits Amphoreous perfectly

this is like 180 from planarcadia
amphoreus has the most depression story in hsr

OMG YOUR BACK!!!😭😭, its so nice to see you again in hsr!!🥺, how are you? Everything’s good? Ohhh I saw your reaction to the 3.3 quest, BRO LIKE, THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD, like that fight with boss, and the music and the animations…. When I played I was really shocked, I've never experienced such feelings. This is Hyacinema, and your reacting was so perfect, I missed this.. I remember watched you, when you just started playing Amphoreus on twitch:3, and we reacted to the 2025 concert hsr, ahhh nostalgia. And now 3.4 man… love. Pain, great😢, AND OHHH MARCH, she’s my favourite character too! She’s just perfect, our pookieee, I cried in this scene, like it’s the first time we hearing her:< ,seeing her, ahh, YOU’RE SO NOT READY FOR THE NEXT PATCHES, BE PREPARED😅

What brokes me is someone with real passion for the game being so underrated, you deserved more honestly.

Hope you enjoy the entire Amphoreus journey!

I told you.

And you'll probably cry even more soon. I hope you have a good supply of tissues.
