Buying a keyboard is almost as bad as deciding on a personal computer.

The Roland key action with the Kawai sound engine would be just perfect for me.

I'm glad you tackled each component of the pianos and their characteristics more. Something that the piano reviewing world needs more of.

I was glad I checked on Youtube for review before I was going to buy a digital piano to learn piano at my senior age. I had two pianos when I was a child but never able to learn due to busy work schedule. Now I really want to learn again to see how far I could go before I regret not learning it in my life. Your review video is so helpful. Now I just need to know how much I should invest for something I wasn't sure I could make it.

Awesome post, as always, thank you Jeremy.✌️🎶

the prices of these are too high for a beginner budget , I was hoping you'd suggest some options for those unsure of committing to piano but want to get a solid piano.

Hello from the U.S. Jeremy! Good selections/recommendations and I agree with all your points on the keybeds, speakers, etc. Most of these will boil down to personal preferences (or what is available in their area) - but all are good reliable choices and will hold up for years to come.

I'd like to see some videos on the mid range keyboards like the YDP-165 vs YDP-184 and other keyboards around the 2k range.

As always, an excellent video guide for it's subject matter, especially as a comparison guide. All great choices and keyboards. But as you would expect from me, you wouldn't be surprised by my order of choice out of the four. Roland, Kawai, Casio and Yamaha. But I think for myself, the relatively new Roland Go:Piano 88 PX PX would fit me best with the Go:Keys 5 would be an update to compare with my CT-S1 and Original Go:Keys. Other than my other two keyboards, my Roland JD-Xi synth and my Yamaha PSS-A50, the only other keyboards I would really want is the Yamaha CK61 and if I want a top tier one, the Roland V STAGE 76/88. But for this video, the target audience is pretty much strictly for a piano player, and you described them very well depending on personal preferences.

This was such a satisfying watch, amazing!

@guyjordan8201 1 year ago

Well done as always. I like the Roland because it generates its sound rather than replaying a recording.

Very comprehensive review. Thanks!

The video is top, the title is slightly off IMO.. should probably not be "keyboard" but digital piano with weighted keys and hammer mechanism.

Incredibly insightful review of the 4 keyboards I have been considering. I really appreciate your expertise, knowledge and skill. Thank you for helping me confirm that my desire for the most piano-like keyboard is the Kawai - which I purchased today.
