It's so nice to think, as a daughter of God, that we are being protected for the right guy to come along who will be matched perfectly to us. Rather than worrying you're not attractive enough, or that no one is interested in you, it's beautiful to think that God is keeping you hidden until the right time. He cares so much for his daughters! <3

I just wanted to add; be careful who you marry, ladies. Just because you married him doesn’t mean he’s the right one either. I was in a 5 year relationship and waited til marriage. He still cheated and abandoned me and married his affair partner a month after our divorce. Please don’t make the mistake of idolizing relationships, your boyfriend/ husband and marriage. Putting marriage on a pedestal is so dangerous, it sets you up thinking that this is ‘it’ instead of remembering that not putting Jesus in the center of the marriage will destroy it. I am thankful to our Lord for not allowing hate in my heart and helping me forgive my ex husband’s wrongs.

I grew up thinking my step dad was my real father, up until he SA'd me at the age of 6.
At age 12 is when I met my real father and he was very judgemental. Every time he would look at me I could literally feel his judgement. And I also experienced abuse on his side, physical and sexual. My siblings were jealous of me because I was getting "all the attention".

After that he went away. And I stopped talking to that side of the family.
I would show off my body to boys, men and women.

Some men were way older than me and I was uncomfortable of course but I did it for the attention.

I'm just grateful that the Lord rescued me and renewed me. ❤❤

I resonate with this so much. I lost my virginity recently for a situationship with a man, who said he only dates for marriage.. except he didn't want to date me. Over 8 months, I thought we were getting there, that he would date me, and so what's the harm. I gave my heart back to God, prayed for restoration, but the shame, the heaviness of having lost that to someone I didn't even date is intense.
I'm 24 and I have never been in a relationship. I'm glad I found this channel.

I had a loving but absent dad, a loving but VERY critical mom, and no words of affirmation just expectations. This led to me always seeking validation, first through perfectionism in academics and work (to the point of burning out) and in recent years in external validation (particularly male). I’m blessed that I’m finally seeing the error of my ways, and have been changing.

As a man, I really needed this talk. Thank you for this video. I just turned 30, and I’ve realized that every woman I’ve come across has been temporary. Looking back, it’s not just about them it’s about where I’ve been looking and how I’ve been building the relationships. I’ve been the problem this entire time, and the Bible is the cure.

So true.  My Dad did not provide emotionally security and constantly angry and yelling.  He rejected be spiritually before birth because he wanted a son so bad.  Led me to seek validation in all the wrong places with men, and lust.  Praise God, Jesus healed my heart and my relationship with my dad.

Hosea is my favourite book! For anyone else watching, I wholly recommend reading chapter 2 fully, especially verses 14 to 23. Focus on 6-7, then 14-15, and finally 23. God will meet/comfort you in your hopelessness :)

Im usually a silent viewer but this video spoke EXACTLY to what Im currently going through. I've been having a hard time feeling like the odd one out of my friend group and all the other young women at my church whl are being PURSUED by guys both in and out of the faith. I had never experienced any of this and it has felt so incredibly lonely and frustrating. And I've struggled so deeply with feeling like God's validation is enough when I see others get this other validation that I've longed for. Its been my prayer to heal from this. To see myself as enough without comparing my worth to other girls who get that male attention.

Its not easy. And Ive been feeling so alone lately. I need God’s Hand in this. Because Ive been tempted on finding men on my own so that I can "join the club" that Ive always felt left out of.

The shame is so real I cringe at my past but I keep shunning those voices - if HE forgives me I can forgive me and I KNOW how long ago that was and how different I am now. ❤

Wow, this really touched me because it was once my story too. Yesterday, Sunday Sept 14, I was baptized. I rarely comment, but I felt led in my spirit to share. This used to be my biggest struggle, it makes me emotional thinking about it. Even in my moments of lust and searching for love in all the wrong places, God never left me. Choosing to give my life to Him has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I see my baptism as marrying Jesus Christ, because God is love, and no one will ever love me like He does.
