And to think that the OLDEST was 14 and the youngest was 11 when this all started (around 2014-15). To think I am around the age of the oldest when it started, I can’t even imagine what these poor defenceless CHILDREN had to go through.

What happened to TheEastLight is still one of the most saddest/frustrating stories in K-Pop to me

@nawshin8680 5 years ago

They should have gotten a longer sentence

"Being hit will make you grow"

What a boomer mindset

A world where children get beat and the abuser only gets a year, but someone choosing to relax with weed gets four.

This is the planet we’re on....

I was saddened to find out about this some time ago. I am glad that most of them are doing things the way they want to now.

The sentencing was too lenient. One of them was sentenced for a year, and the other, eight months? Even ten years behind bars isn't enough.

It’s so sad that two of the members went against the brothers and said they lied... but they were still under the company at this time I believe... it’s just so strange

I understand the parents might have had their reasons but I can't help but be mad at them for not intervening earlier. They themselves said that they knew about the abuse but, instead of immediately taking their kids out and encouraging them to audition for another company, they went to the ceo and... ASKED that they stop beating their kids 😐 their children could've been k¡ll€d and the most they did was talk with their abuser. Something about that just doesn't sound right. They failed those children. I'm just glad they're alive.

This is what MISTREATMENT is actually like not “getting enough lines” in a song people really talk about their faves being “mistreated” not knowing how good they actually have it. Just wanna victimized their idols sooooo bad. At this point it’s a literal competition😒🤚

So sad this is a case that broke my heart and made me question humanity. Poor boys I hope they can move forward and grow strong my hearts with them forever!

@ZA-fo2rn 5 years ago

I understand why the other children didn't want to say anything .

@akanshabhora6586 5 years ago

My heart aches listening to this story these boys never deserve this type of treatment and this company and people involved shall be severely punished for there misdeeds

This one really shocked me that their agency mistreated them very badly and to think they started their careers in their teenage years just made the story more tragic. I hope that the members of The East Light are okay now, after what had happened to them.

@andredrw289 5 years ago

Companies like this should not exist. Honestly what happened to them was so shocking and I’m glad they got out of that horrible label

@octopops 5 years ago

Their company formed an amazingly talented group, and they promoted them really well, but then all of this was going on behind the scenes. It breaks my heart because they had so much potential. I hope that one day they can reform under a better company and promote together again!

EXCUSE ME???? THEY WERE ONLY IMPRISONED FOR UNDER TWO YEARS?? I HATE HATE THE JUSTICE SYSTEM

@StickyBunzNGlitter 5 years ago (edited)

Apart from the abuse, its sad that the other members didn't come forward and stand with the lee brothers

@jeonghansjudgingface 4 years ago

I feel like the two that went against the Lee brothers were being forced to say that because they were still under the company and would have gotten punished even more if they had joined them.
