Problem with pushing cereal/granola bars/ cake mix all the way to the back is that the product doesn’t get rotated… these products have a low shelf life. Unless your store is busy and flies off the shelf- maybe in the city, I’m in a small town with five other grocery stores. Do you find that these are the products that frequently go out of date? Besides slow moving items of course

Then you factor in “80 cases an hour” and so I guess you have to say “who has time to rotate?”

New people in retail, most places will give you a zebra or an app to use to locate all the items. Smaller places probably not so much but it does make it a lot easier. And if you're older and dry out easy wear gloves lol
Most places that are good in size don't order their products personally, a computer does it. This is where theft makes things difficult if people are stealing things the computer thinks that we still have it when we don't and things get under stocked

Just got a job working over night for Kroger, it's Union. Actually kind of excited to get back to work. Been laid up for the last 4 years due to an accident.

Just got hired for this position. I've worked overnight and stocking for many years, just never in a grocery store environment. This was an excellent and probably the best video I've seen so far brotha!

I work at Safeway(basically the same company), going on my fourth year, and the hack I’ve always used was the grocery cart to carry the debris and other stuff, also to prop up some cases to stock a few at a time. If you have well trained coworkers (which has been rare in my case) it’s a breeze.
